Jordan Chiles's Olympic-Ready Skin-Care and Makeup Routine (2024)

[upbeat music]

Hey Vogue, it's Jordan Chiles,

and this is my skincare routine and my Olympic makeup look.

I always love a good cleanser.

This amount.

I started using a gentle cleanser

'cause my face is really oily

and then I was like, oh my gosh,

it makes my face look so much better.

I wanna go on with a good toner.

I like using it with my hand

'cause I feel like it gets into my skin more.

I just tap this all over my face.

I have hyperpigmentation.

You can see it more in my blemishes, as you can tell.

This one decided just to pop up today.

Who did that?

I had really, really bad acne when I was younger.

Didn't know how to take care of it.

But now that I do, I like to embrace it.

Look at the glow already.

We're glowing today guys.

I'm gonna go in with the Vitamin C Serum from Bliss.

Vitamin C is actually really good for your skin

and I don't put that much.

It's like, oh, I made a little heart.

How cute.

Love everywhere.

Sometimes a girl has bags.

I know you can't see them right now,

but when I wake up in the morning.

It's called the Cryo-Recovery Eye Serum.

So the piece on it, it's cold.

It feels so good.

See, already a difference guys.

We started like this, now we're like this.

We're gonna go in with another serum.

This is a deep hydration serum.

Again, I don't put that much on.

This brings freshness to my face

and kind of a glowy look to it.

You see that?

We're just glowing.

I'm going in with the Charlotte Tilbury moisturizer.

I love this moisturizer so much.

I have shopped for Paris, and girl,

we've been shopping and shopping and shopping.

I'm like, oh my gosh, what can I wear here?

Or what can I do here?

Even though I know I'm not gonna have

downtime like that, but it's okay.

We're gonna go out and have fun, some way, shape, or form.

I love this sunscreen.

My face needs protection.

We need protection out here guys.

Oh, it just feels so good.

[upbeat music]

We as women always have to be on point, ready,

doing this, doing that, looking good.

But I think it's very interesting of

how much women actually enjoy their beauty aspect of things.

For me, it did take me a while,

not gonna lie, to embrace my beauty.

But now that I embrace my beauty, I love it.

I love waking up in the morning doing skincare.

I love being able to do my makeup.

I love being able to see,

enjoy every moment that I am as a woman

because I love my skin no matter how it is.

I like to put eye patches on

and look how cute they're, they have stars.

I'm always listening to music

when I'm doing skincare, makeup, hair.

I vibe out all the time.

I listen to Rihanna, I listen to Beyonce,

I listen to my girl Megan.

So we're gonna leave these on and I'm gonna start my makeup.

And now we're gonna with in

with the Makeup by Mario Brow Gel.

To me, having a good brow,

it brings a lot of character to you.

You have a lot of animation within your eyebrows,

a lot of emotion.

Well now we're gonna go with the other side of this.

We're gonna go in with the One/Size Secure The Blur.

We don't want nothing.

No holes, no blemishes,

nothing when we put on our foundation.

Primer is very important for me.

We do sweat, we do cry,

happy tears, sad tears, whatever it is.

We wanna make sure our we primer is something

that we can hold the whole thing in.

I kind of use a natural concealer to go underneath my eyes

before I put my eye primer on.

[upbeat music]

Woo!

They're on fleek.

See, animation.

So the brows are now, are giving, we won gold.

We are just slaying, thriving.

We are enjoying each and every moment as a team.

Eyeshadow primer.

That's how mine be staying during my competition.

[upbeat music]

So we're just gonna put this all over my eye.

Now that we have a base, we're gonna do a darker color.

So I think I'm gonna go in with the Brownie right here.

I think I'm gonna do a cut crease.

We're gonna go back in with a concealer

to kind of go along this line.

[upbeat music]

I learned all of this from my sister.

[upbeat music]

[Jordan gasping]

Glinda, Ball Gown.

Ooh, Flying Free.

This is Ball Gown.

I think we should do Ball Gown 'cause it's giving.

I'm over here feeling like Elsa.

♪ Let it go ♪

I know it is in the wrong movie,

but this makeup is giving me Elsa.

We are gonna go back in with this same concealer.

[upbeat music]

We're gonna go in with my foundation, I use Fenty.

[upbeat music]

So foundation is on.

Ooh, everything's looking so good.

So now we're gonna go actually back in

with one more concealer.

But this one is a is a Pro Filter.

I only put this right here to kind of brighten up my eyes.

So on competition floor,

since we have so many bright lights,

it does give a better effect if your under eyes

are a little brighter than normal.

I put a little on my tip of my nose

'cause gotta have some fun there.

Fun fact about Jordan,

her nose is her favorite part of her body.

It's brightening up in here.

We're shining.

We're gonna go in now with our contour.

[upbeat music]

We're gonna go in with the powders.

Banana from Fenty and then I blend it with Cashew.

Hi, we have a little one.

It's a little beauty blender.

It's so cute.

Don't ask me where this accent came from

'cause sometimes it just pops up.

And then I just kind of go like this

'cause I just want it right here.

Gonna go in with Cashew.

The reason why I use two different colors is

'cause I don't want my whole under eye bright.

I just want certain parts of my eye to be brightened up

because I have very hooded eyes.

So when I smile they go away.

But if I brighten underneath,

it gives more of my eye to be able to pop.

So we're gonna let this sit.

We're gonna go in with bronzer.

Mm hmm.

[upbeat music]

Does anybody wonder how I get my jaw so chiseled?

I learned this from a TikToker

to always put bronzer underneath

so it gives a shadow effect.

So when you're looking sideways, you have a chiseled jaw.

[upbeat music]

So now we're gonna go back in with the Cashew

to get it very defined.

[upbeat music]

Now we're gonna go with the blush.

We're gonna go with my Dior, Dior.

This thing is very pigmented so we don't wanna put a lot.

And yes, I do put my blush over my powder

'cause I feel like it gives a better look

and it stays better.

Mm hmm, y'all see that.

I know y'all see that.

So we have a practice in the morning,

typically before we compete.

Between that practice and us competing,

we have about three to four hours to get ready.

So I take a nap, I take a shower, I eat,

and then I always start my makeup almost two hours

in advance before I have to leave out the door.

[upbeat music]

You see?

I just feel like it gives flawless.

So we're gonna go back in with the Ball Gown.

I feel like when I have a color on my eyes,

it looks better if you bring it in on the bottom

so your eye can pop more.

[upbeat music]

See?

Wow, okay.

I am a lash girl, I'm a lash girly.

I'm gonna brush them out but I do do my bottom lashes.

This right here, the best mascara.

[upbeat music]

Setting spray.

This is the key to keeping my makeup on.

[upbeat music]

So I let this kind of stay on my face

so I can do my highlight.

It makes it stay on better

and kind of give a more brightening effect.

The difference between Tokyo

and Paris for me would definitely be the maturity.

The first time I went to my Olympics, I was 19 years old

and I was just there having fun,

trying to discover myself as an athlete

and as a person all in one.

So I think now knowing that I'm 23,

kind of know the layout, done this once before,

but I know who I am as a person.

So now I'm like, I'm giving you the full Jordan Chiles.

We're gonna do my lips now.

I love these lip liners.

They're the best thing ever.

So we're gonna go with the dark one.

For my inspo, before I found out Miss Megan did this,

was ombre, dark to light.

It's really cool.

And one day I saw Megan do it with black

and I was like.

How did me and Megan Thee Stallion become friends?

Y'all, that's a question I wish I knew.

My best friend was like, hey you wanna go

to the Megan Thee Stallion concert?

And I was like, yeah, I'm down.

Met Megan Thee Stallion.

I was like, there's no way.

And she was like, friend,

I'm gonna come see you in Paris, friend.

And I was like, oh my gosh.

So yeah, that's how I met her.

We are done with this color now.

Now we're gonna go in with the lighter shade.

So we're gonna get your concealer.

I would say get a concealer that's not too light.

Don't go too light.

You're gonna put it in the middle.

Put your lips together.

You're gonna go back in with that lighter pencil

so you can blend it all together.

[upbeat music]

We're gonna go in with the Milani Fruit Fetish.

You're just gonna put it lightly.

[upbeat music]

And last but not least, set your face one more time.

[upbeat music]

And then that, my friend,

is what you call a makeup look for an Olympic games.

I'm gonna do my edges real quick.

[upbeat music]

So this is Edge Control.

[upbeat music]

Okay guys, this is the final look

and I'll see you at the Olympics in Paris.

And that's on period.

Bye, love you.
