Demons in the Light Nezuko in Trouble
This story follows Tanjiro and his friends on a journey to becoming heros and facing many trials along the way.
Tanjiro looks around the forest as his breath clouds the air, Nezuko safely in the box on his back as he trudges through the melting snow. Zenitsu beside him keeping stride. "I hope we don't run into any demons!" He screeches in a yelling whisper looking around nervously...

Tanjiro stops as he raises his hand. "Zenitsu, be quiet for a second..." He draws in controlling his breathing as he sets down Nezuko's box looking around. "Where are you Inosuke Hashibira?" He thinks....
....
"Water Breathing Eleventh Form: Dead Calm." Tanjiro says controlling his breathing. The user ceases all body movements and enters a state of complete tranquility, deflecting, blocking and cutting any incoming attacks with imperceptible speed with his blade. However, its effectiveness is limited as fast and numerous attacks can break through. Tanjior knows this and is still new to the technique but is getting the hang of it.
After a few moments the group of bandits is upon them. "Its a boy!" One of them says in surprise. "Leave the demon and take the boy back to Keyth and Gannon." Another says. Before he knows it they have all passed him and are fighting with Zenitsu as a few target him....

The men fighting Zenitsu laugh. "You must be scared little guy. Lets get em boys...."
Zenitsu jumps back focusing on his breathing and charges his blade then imperceptibly moves as he thinks "Seventh Form: Honoikazuchi no Kami." (Flaming Thunder God) The personal creation ofZenitsu Agatsuma. The user dashes forward at blinding speeds and unleashes several grazing taps with his swords flat side as the form of a yellow lightning dragon seems to appear.
"Let's go!" One of the bandits screams as he and another make a break for it. The others try to follow but are knocked out by another of Zenitsu's attacks.
"Tanjiro! Did you do this?" Zenitsu says.
Tanjiro picks up Nezuko's box. "Um what are you? No, I didn't. You did that Zenitsu. Did you pass out again?"
"I..I did that?" He says looking from the unconscious men to Tanjiro... "I did that?"
Tanjiro smiles as he slings The box over his back. "Yeah, you did that. Inosuke isn't here and Nezuko can't come out in the sunlight or she would die...." He says. "Now come on, were getting off this mountain." He says. He looks around wondering where Inosuke could be.......

Inosuke looks from his hidden perch at the -Eleven bandits and the two mysterious men that are human. One of which just sapped his friends and is now standing there holding the small box that Nezuko uses to hide from the sun.
He turns his attention back to the feminine looking man in black and white.... He stays back knowing he can't beat them..........

"These kids aren't anyone special why spare?" A person in special looking makeup asks.
The feminine male sounding figure takes off his mask as he splits the man in two and he cries out as he dies in the sunlight. His insides unprotected by the makeup. Inosuke's eyes widen seeing demons that can walk in the sun.
"Never question my motives. We are getting the box. If these two want to die later coming after this bizarre demon girl then I will kill them." The first and most powerful demon Muzan says and then they are gone....

Tanjiro groans as Zenitsu bolts up, hand on his sword but is to late to stop them in his unconscious full powered state....
....
Tanjiro wakes finding his sister Nezuko gone as Zenitsu and Inosuke argue about how he just watched the head demon take her.
Both jump to their feet when they see him awake.
"Idiots! what were you two doing!" He yells. "We gotta go now if we are going to beat them back to the village!"
"Going back to the village is suicide!" Inosuke yells back.
"I'm not leaving my sister with that monster!" Tanjiro yells as they drag him away. " If we go there now we wont help Nezuko at all... Its the head demon that has her not some pushover. We have to get stronger and get help if we even hope to get her back!" Zenitsu says with a fire in his eyes.
In that moment Tanjiro can see the man Zenitsu strives to be come forth. He owes it to his sister to make this man into a hero.
"Then we're training harder and we are getting allies if we are going to do this."
The three boys agree and go down the mountain, leaving his sister in the clutches of pure evil....

Nezuko explodes out of wooden box growing to her normal size as she bounces around the room looking for a way out and finding none as Muzan watches. She backs into corner prepared to defend herself. Muzan laughs. "Don't worry I just want to ask you... How do you only consist off of sleep alone?" I myself am very... Perplexed by this." He says in the woman's body he possessed.
"...." She stares at him.
"Oh and I suppose you can't talk huh? Well lets see if we can fix that." He says and reaches out towards her... A bullet of his blood fires from his finger tip and imbeds in her neck. She rolls on the floor in agony as the blood does its work. She calms down and looks up at Muzan. "Please, please if it is your desire, don't kill my brother if he comes here?" She asks.
"Oh... You did well to remember who you are talking to. My will is absolute and finale once decided. Tho for an exchange of information I may spare their pathetic lives. This one time. But make no mistake..It largely depends on my mood.... The more I know about you the happier I'll be." Muzan says....

Tanjiro and the others are almost to the TheHashira's temple when they stop at an Inn for the night. Ominous storm clouds on the horizon flash as rolling thunder can be heard.
"This storm looks bad, we are lucky we found this place." Says Zenitsu.
Outside the wind howls through the trees and empty paths of the town so new it's not on any map. A woman in a red, green and blue kimono brings in some tea and then leaves as the outside paper wall shudders under the winds force. Bright blue flashes strobe against the panels as booming and crashing thunder overhead shakes the building...

As they eat Tanjiro is somberly thinking about Nezuko when something heavy thuds against the outside wall.
"What in the..." Tanjiro says.
The inn keeper screams and runs from the room as water leaks through the wall. The thuds continue as something slams into it again, but this time a long tentacle like rope lashes out of the wall and wraps around Zenitsu's neck yanking him through as he screams.
"!!!ZENITSU!!!" Tanjiro and Inosuke shout in shock as they rush outside drawing their swords.
Lightning flashes illuminating the roiling central pinkish mass that covered in tentacles. Each tentacle covered in mouths that appear to be made like mini shark jaws chomping away like piranha. The main body has dozens of red eyes staring everywhere and a single giant one in the middle. Wind tears at the world as the demon roars...
The horrible monster slams its tentacles into multiple buildings. Many of the appendages grabbing people from inside and trying to eat them in their mouths.
Tanjiro sees Zenitsu in his unconscious state zipping around cutting as many tentacles as he can as he leaves trails in the rain...
A bolt of lighting from the sky hits his sword and he increases in speed to the point of seeming to be in multiple places at once severing every limb holding a person. The images vanish as. Zenitsu appears in front if the demon and vanishes in a massive thunder bolt he redirects from the sky and rips through the demon killing it instantly as he appears on the other side in a burst of electrical energy.
The demons flesh splatters the walls and remaining buildings as it falls with the deluge of water washing away the black goo as the body remains. Only vanishing in ash and smoke when the sun shows through the storm.
Tanjiro takes note of this as the demon was dead and should have evaporated once it was. Zenitsu looks around.... "Did I!??!..." He starts to ask when a cute girl his age runs up and hugs him. "Thank you for saving us! I knew it, you guys are Demon Slayers! That's so cool!" She says kissing his cheek.
"Ah...ummm...."
She looks up at Zenitsu and asks if he has a girlfriend. He stutters and begins to blush as she puts her arms around his neck.
"You do??" Tanjiro and Inosuke ask in unison. Tanjiro feels better tho somehow seeing Zenitsu turn someone down like that. "Maybe he could be good for Nezuko?" He thinks as he grabs Inosuke by the ear leading him away.
Zenitsu takes her to the safe area of buildings to explain while the she goes on about him being a real demon slayer. He tries to explain he wasn't a real one when he saved her, but she won't hear it. And loves that he is trying to save the one of his dreams. They part ways as Tanjiro walks in with the Hashira behind him. "Good luck saving Nezuko!" She says going over to her family across the room...

Tanjiro and Zenitsu take the seemingly comatose Inosuke to the doctor and watch over him there. After a few days he is back up and walking, though he seems very down. The doctor explains his feelings after not being able to help with the last demon and his friends get it right away.
At the hospital Tanjiro looks at Inosuke. "You would've done great if we had fought that thing. You don't have to help defeat every demon to be useful you know. We like having you around and your really strong to. Now come on we are going out to the capital today to see a man that might be able to help us get Nezuko back... But we have to leave our swords with the police until we leave the city." Tanjiro says. Inosuke nods and they rejoin the others at the Inn...

They head out after one more night that's thankfully uneventful as they check on the towns people...

They make it most of the way there before they start running into small bands of people...
Each one is friendly but talks of how the capitol is getting to be a bad place as officials write off reports of demons as crazy local legends.
The guards a half mile from the city at a checkpoint demand they hand over their swords and tell them the capitol has been completely safe for years. They reluctantly turn over their blades but see many of the people walking out have wooden swords. "Is it really that bad here that anything gives them comfort?" Tanjito thinks as the people walk by with a strange light that feels like sunlight shining from strange metal torches....

The 4 of them make it to the gates of the capitol just as the sun is setting.... The other Hashira having went to do recon as Kyojuro aids Tanjiro and his friends in finding Blaze...
....
A few demons run about in the hilly wooded outskirts of the Capitol led by a single elite as they stick to shadows waiting for full night. Kyojuro senses them and Smiles. "Tanjiro, I think this mission of yours is about to get hampered a little." He says reaching for the sword he turned in. Finding empty space his always present smile fades.
A guard laughs as he says. "What are one of those fake Demons close by. "Hahahahahagaaohoshh....." The guard says and is cut off as a demon rips his throat out. He clutches desperately at his wound as the reptile like demon turns to his screaming friend and swipes him in half.
"Water breathing 13th form water fist." Tanjito shouts rushing forward landing a heavy right to a demons gut. As it doubles over from the strike he grabs it by the neck and head butts it, snapping its neck. He looks up to the demon killing the two guards and snaps into a fighting stance.
The demon rushes forward trying to claw at him. He sidesteps controlling his breath and grabs its wrist, twisting and with his other hand lands a heavy punch to its jaw ripping its head off and a villager with one those strange torches runs up pointing at it and the skin starts to burn in the light then explodes as if in the sun...
Tanjiro twirls as he imagines the string tightening for his opening and his elbow as the tip of a curling wave crest slamming it into the elite demon as it tries to attack. The demon pulverizes the ground gouging a 15 foot crater in a spray of rock and dirt as Kyojuro watches with a look of shock on his face seeing breathing techniques used without a sword.
"We aren't the only ones here Kyo, better get your head in this fight."
As he says this the other guards are putting down the demons they were fighting.
For some reason all but the ones Tanjiro hit with breathing techniques keep getting up as demons should unless killed with a special blade....
Zenitsu looks at Tanjiro. "How did you kill those demons without a sword!!?" He asks freaking out. Suddenly he passes out from fear and stress....
Then Zenitsu rises into a fighting posture as a demon rushes at him...
"Hand to hand iteration, Seventh Form. Flaming Thunder God." He says menacingly as the ground around him explodes from his acceleration. His fist glows with electricity as he strikes. A weapon only being an extension of the user proving to be true now as he rips through the demon with his finger tips sparking vigorously. The demon falls to the ground dead as it evaporates....

The energy transfer on actual contact comparable to that of when a special sword is used resulting in the death of the demon cells. Tho weapons allow much easier transfer of such energy and tax the body less....

The other demons run fearing these weaponless Demon Slayers killing their kind with their bare hands....

The sun rises on a long stressful night as the three boys ache all over from the extra exertion.... " WOOOO!" Inosuke shouts happily exhausted having killed a few demons in the night along with the the other 3 demon slayers.
Kyojuro looks at the three of them. "Who woulda thought that it's energy transfer and intent... I tried it and one that I hit as if he was a man got back up.... And the one I hit like a demon with a breathing technique stayed down and died." He says. "Your techniques seem to have some effect, but mine seem to work well."
Zeniitsu says "Let's all use the same technique we just used without weapons and perfect them."
They all agree and for the rest of their days they slay Demons with their weaponless techniques if they ever get caught without a sword....

They reach the destination that Blaze is located at seeing that it is a book store that specializes in Alternate reality universes and other fiction. Walking inside Tanjiro smells the most delicious cookies he has ever sniffed in his entire life. He looks around for the cookies and sees none. Noticing that the smell follows a man as he walks by and seems to come from his hair.... " why does your hair smell like delicious cookies?" He asks the black haired man.
The man turns and looks at him for a moment. He has black hair and eyes, unnaturally so. He smiles and speaks "You like my hairstyle? It's called Unnatural Kool-aid. It's made with Blue #5, quite trendy in the other world I just came from." He says.
"Other world?" Inosuke asks.
"Oh you wont be going there. I was just sent to help out alittle. I'm Blaze and I take it you need help getting your sister back right?" He says to Tanjiro.
"Yeah how did you know?"
"I know alot about your universe and I have a great deal more power than this so called first demon in your universe. Key words your universe.... There are low level demons from mine that wouldn't lose to Muzan."
Blaze takes a small box out of his pocket and presses a button and disappears.
"What.... Where did he go!?" Inosuke asks in shock from behind his boar mask.. "He just disappeared." He says looking around.
"I think he went to the other world..... He said he was sent here to help... But how can he be trusted?" Tanjiro says as Blaze reappears with another smaller boy. " Hey there I'm Meliodas. Heard you have a demon problem that threatens the universe so here I am to look after it like I promised as an Eternal." He says smiling at Tanjiro.
They all talk and prepare to travel to Muzan's castle. Zenitsu looks at Meliodas. "Blaze seems rather confident that Meliodas can beat Muzan." He says. Meliodas overhears this and walks over to a tree grabbing a small branch.
The all laugh as he raises it over his head like a sword. He looks back at them. "Are you sure you want to laugh?" He says.
He swings the stick and the mountain ahead splits in two from the Shockwave.
"Well now you wont have to walk so far now." He smiles as he flicks the stick into the air and catches it as they look on left speechless.
They all reach the castle and sneak in. The 4 demon slayers Karate kick the door down while the 2 Eternals hide.
"SHIT! They got in!"
"Activate the traps! Activate the traps!"
They set off a few but the Eternals are quick enough to evade them and strike down the demons.
"This is nothing like what I've seen before." Inosuke says. "I thought they would be stronger."
"Just wait for it..." Meliodas says.
Meliodas looks at the other Eternal. "These demons might be stronger than we thought Blaze. We have to be carful." He says as they follow close behind the demon slayers ready to back them up if needed.
"There he is, get him!"
The four slayers rush in and are immediately on there knees screaming in pain clutching there heads.
"What the...?"
Blaze runs over to help them while Meliodas looks ahead seeing a woman wearing a hat sitting at a desk. "It's just a trick mirror. It's not even real."
Using his ki Blaze cancels out the ultrasonic attack and vaporizes the invisible demon emitting the still painful noise.
Meliodas and the others run past the demon slayers and attack the one preforming the mirage.
"It's not real! It's not real!" The woman in the hat says as she fades away.
The group stops as Muzan's voice fills the building. "I will give you all one chance to leave this place as I am in a very good mood today and my sweet Nezuko. My sweet bride has agreed to marry me as soon as possible. Now don't make her sacrifice for you worthless Tanjiro." He says.
The group charges up the stairs past the library and into the throne room.
"You won't get away with this!" Meliodas shouts.
Muzan looks over in annoyance as they approach him.
"Ahh, if it isn't the little bastard that got lifted from hell. Tell me, what did you think of... "
Muzan can't finish as Meliodas lands a hard hit to his jaw sending him crashing through the walls of the castle.
"I've had it with your crap Muzan!" Meliodas shouts as he flies through the air towards him.
Muzan's eyes widen in fear and he begins to age rapidly and his skin becomes gray as he grows in size and his body fills out. His face becomes demonic as wings develop on his back and he sprouts claws. He's no longer a human looking woman but his truly demonic form.
"You dare strike me you low level..." Wait I didn't create you... What is this why do you have demonic power?" Muzan asks confused. "I'm from another universe and this guy behind me was the first of all demons in any universe. He's a good guy now tho...." Muzan attacks landing a punch to Meliodas drawing blood as he crashes through the whole castle and blasts through the outer wall impacting a small hill... He stands up in the crater. "Hm. Nice one using energy like that..." Meliidas says smiling as he blocks and absorbs punches and kicks deflecting demonic energy. He sees his opening. "REVENGE COUNTER!" He shouts releasing all the stored energy he has absorbed from attacks with his stick. It blasts through Muzan's defenses and hits him in the chest exploding into a million pieces.
"That takes care of that... Now let"s get out of here."
The group leaves the castle after Nezuko is found safe. She looks at Tanjiro. "Brother I knew you would come to get me." She says as she hugs him.
"Of course I would sister." He says as they embrace.
"It's good to be home." She says.
Nezuko looks over at Zenitsu who walks up to her and asks. "W...would you like to go to dinner with me?" He asks her.
She looks at him for a moment and smiles. "I'd love to." They embrace and kiss each other on the lips.
With tears in his eyes Tanjiro holds back Inosuke as he shouts at Zenitsu. "I'll kill you! How could you betray me like this! You're dead! Do you hear me!? You steal my crush. I'll fight you for her right here and now!" He shouts slipping away.
Tanjiro catches him again as he prepares to attack. "Take it easy Inosuke, let's just go home." He says.
"B...b...ut" Inosuke stutters as he looks back with tears in his eyes. He turns around and almost bumps into a woman wearing a boars head like his. They both look at each other and embrace.
"I'm so happy to see you're alive." She tells him.
"Me too, Me too." He says. "Do you like fighting demons?" He asks.
She punches his shoulder. "Who says we cant fight each other to have fun cutie." She says giggling.
Inosuke looks down a bit. "I want to ask you out on a date." He says. "Will you go on a date with me?"
She looks at him for a moment then says yes with a smile.
"Great! It's a date!" He says happily.
"I'll pick you up at 8." She tells him as she walks away.
Inosuke stares after her. "S..She is perfect he says feeling better inside... Aoi smiles as she walks away to prepare for her date with Inosuke.
Tanjiro thinks about Kanao back home at the new temple and training grounds. "I bet he has found someone new to spend his time with, Just like I did. Oh well." He says to himself as he rides off into the distance.
Tanjiri looks around as he In this world full of demons, chaos and war, it's nice to have something good once in a while." He thinks as the others follow.
Aoi calls back. "Don't worry, I know where to find you." She says then dashes off vanishing quickly.
Nezuko jumps into her shelter as she shrinks to fit inside. Hey, Zenitsu would you want to carry Nezuko and keep her safe for me?" He asks him.
"Yeah, sure no problem." He answers taking her.
As they head off back home, Tanjiro looks back once more at the castle before heading back as well. The Eternals having left in a portal as soon as they could.
They all head off back to the temple and training grounds. Their minds at ease knowing Muzan has been defeated.
The next day...
They continue on with their training and lives. Years pass, decades...
The world is now almost unrecognizable to how it was. Tho demons still roam there are far less and some are sleepers like Nezuko who have never harmed a human. Other races have been discovered and awakened by Nezuko to help in the cause against evil. Peace and harmony reigns in the land.
The New Temple and New Training grounds are almost finished, as are the new cities. Just a few more years and work will be complete.
23 year old Tanjiro looks out of the train as he rides with his new wife Kanao.
"You sure you want to live in the New City?" He asks. "We could always live in the Old City if you'd prefer."
"Nah, I'd like to try living in the new city for once. Besides, it will be nice having not just you and I living there now that we are married and you know how bad the old city is." She says.
Both laugh a bit.
Kanao and the others are in good spirits as they chat. They soon arrive at the new city where there is a large crowd of people waiting for them. Zenitsu and Inosuke disembark from the train with Nezuko and Aoi on their arm.
The mayor gives a small speech welcoming them. After he's done, he leads the couple to their new house.
